Building triggers for use in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Journey Builder

To create a triggered SMS or MMS campaign you create it the same whether you are a Salesforce Marketing Cloud customer or not.

1. To create a trigger, follow the steps outlined in this article: Setting Up Automatic Triggers

2. Once you have created your trigger using the intouch app, go and open your Salesforce Marketing Cloud using your Marketing Cloud login details.  

Adding intouch trigger to MC Journey Builder

1. Open MC Journey Builder

2.Click Create New Journey > Select Multi-Step Journey

3. Select and Drag into place your Entry Source

4. Scroll down to the Custom app area on the left.  Select and drag the intouch icon into the journey timeline where you require it for sending SMS or MMS.

5.  Click on the intouch icon itself and a window will appear with the triggers you created already within the intouch platform. Scroll until you find the one you want and select by clicking the square.  Once selected it will highlight and you can apply it to your journey.
